The MVDF is a 1-gang wall plate multi-format video converter that seamlessly converts DVI, VGA, Composite, and S-Video signals into a single optical DVI output, enabling long-distance, high-resolution transmission without compression or latency. Compact in design, it fits standard wall plate slots, making it ideal for medical environments, control rooms, conference spaces, and educational facilities where clean integration and electrical isolation are critical.
Supporting all VESA resolutions up to WUXGA (1920 × 1200) at 60 Hz for DVI and VGA, and upscaling Composite and S-Video (480i/576i) to SXGA (1280 × 1024), the MVDF automatically detects and prioritizes the first active input signal—ensuring seamless switching between multiple sources.
It transmits the converted DVI signal up to 500 m (1,640 ft) over a single SC-terminated multimode fiber (62.5 μm). At the display end, the DVFX-100-RX optical DVI receiver restores the electrical DVI signal for output.
With Self-EDID support, auto signal detection, firmware upgradability via mini USB, and LED indicators for power and signal status, the MVDF delivers both versatility and reliability for professional AV deployments.
