The M1-3R2VI-DU is a detachable dual-link DVI optical extender designed for high-resolution, long-distance digital video transmission. Engineered in a compact box-type form factor, it enables the extension of two TMDS signals carrying uncompressed WQXGA (2560×1600) @ 60 Hz video up to 2,000 m (6,560 ft) over a pair of duplex single-mode fibers, or 500 m (1,640 ft) over duplex multi-mode fibers using LC connectors.

For simplified installation and maximum compatibility, the M1-3R2VI-DU incorporates patent-pending Self-EDID management, which automatically reads and restores display information by simply connecting the transmitter to the display. It fully complies with DDC/HDCP, is CE/FCC certified, and meets Class 1 Laser Eye Safety standards—ensuring reliability and safety in professional environments.
